Documentary
Documentary is a genre that I have shown interest in for many years. It allows filmmakers to bring underrepresented topics to light, by experimenting with imagery, set and design. Documentaries can connect with many viewers around the world. I have an interest in mental health documentaries as I feel like they can have a positive impact on society and I aim to work on topics that inspire me in the future.
Project 01
FLOW (2022)
In my second year of university, I had the opportunity to direct a documentary with my close friend Daniel Horace. I felt this project was significant in developing my skills and learning. The documentary follows 'Flow' a man passionate about building a community for rollerskaters around London. it portrays the significance of communities, uniting individuals of many cultures, all sharing the same passion for rollerskating.
Project 02
HAUS (2023)
This documentary was my first proper editing role, which highlighted the passion I have for post-production. This allowed me to learn various skills when developing a documentary. The documentary researches voguing, a popular genre of dance, portraying the significant impact it has on individuals and communities, including the LGBTQ+ community.
Project 03

A MASK OF MANY FACES (2023)
I had the role of DOP for this unique documentary. This consisted of capturing B-roll on all days of filming. The documentary investigates the popular genre of cosplay, following participants Cerys and Elliot around popular event 'Comic Con'. This role allowed me to experiment with new equipment including a gimbal, whilst developing my social skills when filming talent, portraying the importance of being polite, efficient and aware of my surroundings, ensuring diversity throughout filming.
